Job overview

Liberty Woodland School is a reimagining of education. We have designed a school to work with and for children. A school that develops children to the best of their potential, into the children who will be those most likely to succeed in the 21st century and into those children who will leave a lasting legacy on this planet.

Do you want to be a part of this exciting mission? To develop our school into being a blueprint for an education suitable for the world we live in? Our Senior Learning Associates work with a Learning Associate to be the core facilitators and guides for a class of up to 18 children. You will work with your small group of children, supported by Specialists in Art, Music, Science and Environmentalism to support children as unique learners. You will guide your children towards awareness of what is needed to develop into leaders of their own learning, providing a tailored approach and personalisation to needs and interests. You will work as a gardener, not a carpenter, working similarly to the children towards an ethic of excellence.

You will provide meaningful learning opportunities, in an environment designed to be a stimulating experience using creativity and curiosity to ignite imagination and innovation. Rather than test children to assess their learning, you will work alongside the children towards exhibitions where authentic audiences will experience public celebrations of our learning.

Our school passionately believes that our children can and will change the world. We teach environmentalism alongside literacy and maths as a core skill. We are being the change we want to see in the world and are providing our children with the skills and attributes they need not only to be successful in their lives, but to be highly socially responsible citizens and to become the future custodians of the planet.

We believe passionately in the power of collaboration. Our school operates Monday to Thursday for the children, allowing our adults to spend Fridays collaborating and constructing curriculum to provide children with the exceptional opportunities for learning.

At Liberty Woodland School you will spend your life physically active and healthily prioritising your own, your colleagues and our children’s physical, mental and emotional health. You will work hard to encourage collaborative, compassionate and inclusive relationships with others. You will focus, as a priority, on the value of kindness.

If you would like to be a part of our exciting community, at the forefront of progressive education and in a position to reimagine education and design a blueprint for the future, please apply here.
