In this role you will lead our team in developing and delivering qualifying teacher programmes across our teacher education partnership working closely with colleagues at Teesside University and in our partner institutions. Further to this, working closely with the School’s Principal Lecturer for Initial Teacher Education, you will lead the development of subject specific PGCE modules in Maths or Science.

If you have significant experience of teaching Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 in Maths or Science, and hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Education with QTS, you may be the person we are looking for to join our team!

The successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline or will be willing to complete this within 6 years of being appointed. You must be able to contribute to curriculum development and will have the ability to design and deliver effective teaching and assessment at undergraduate and post graduate level through a variety of approaches. Experience of undertaking research, development and/or scholarship is also essential.
