The British School Manila has a requirement for a prospective member of the support staff who will take on the role of:


Senior Manager: Marketing, Events and Admissions (MEA)


The holder of this position will oversee, coordinate and support the following teams under a collaborative banner, consistently apply the BSM brand across these three teams and communicate to the prospective and existing community:

• Marketing, Communications and Public Relations

• Events

• Admissions


Active functions and responsibilities:


1. Overall responsibility for developing and maintaining a positive community message on experiences and interactions through Marketing, Events and Admissions (MEA) 

2. Optimize interaction between Marketing, Events and Admissions teams to guide, oversee and coordinate all MEA functions in:

  •       Planning and implementation, 
  •       Collaboration and coordination, 
  •       Administration, 
  •       Assessment and evaluation

3. Support MEA teams in functional operations:

  •       Budgets 
  •       HR activities
  •       Logistics
  •       Administration 

4. Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to improve experiences and relationships across the BSM community and beyond

5. Liaise with Primary and Senior schools on MEA activities and initiatives 

6. Mentor MEA managers and oversee individual MEA team functions towards:

  •       Appraisal and PDP support 
  •       Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for MEA managers
  •       Development and review of the job descriptions 

7. Establish and foster relationships with various stakeholders

8. Work collaboratively with:

  •       Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) 
  •       Alumni Liaison


Qualifications:

1. Holder of a degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, or other relevant fields of study, preferably with an above-average academic record from a reputable school.

2. A master’s degree is preferred.

3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

4. International experience in the field of marketing and communication is an advantage.

5. Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects.

6. The candidate must have at least 10 years of outstanding leadership ability as exhibited through previous experience in a senior manager role.

7. Knowledge and experience in academe industry is a plus.


Working Areas:

1. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Marketing, Events and Admissions department.

2. Attend Leadership Team meetings.

3. Production of Board reports for MEA

4. Coordination and Management of all MEA administrative functions including:

    a. Budgets

    b. Calendar

    c. Team Meeting agendas, minutes, outcome reports, etc.

    d. Staffing

    e. Reporting

5. Involvement in whole school development and strategic planning.


Remuneration:

The pay and benefits package in Philippine peso will be tailored based on the candidate’s qualifications.

About The British School Manila

The British School Manila (BSM) is a co-educational, private, not-for-profit British international school.

Founded in 1976, the school has grown from 2 classrooms and 32 students in its first year to the present day where BSM welcomes 950+ students aged 3-18, representing 50+ nationalities.

Our School

Our school is a fully accredited member of the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), a founding member of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) and a member of the East Asian Regional Council of Schools.

Our teaching staff come from a range of backgrounds with experience of the British and other highly regarded curricula. We offer classes from Nursery to Year 13 with three classes per year group.

The majority of BSM graduates attend College in the U.S. and  U.K., but our college placement data shows our students attend colleges all over the world.

The school year is divided into 3 terms: Term 1 from August to December, Term 2 from January to March, and Term 3 from April to June.

Our Curriculum

BSM teaches an adapted form of the National Curriculum of England in EYFS and Years 1-9. This is followed in Years 10 & 11 with a comprehensive range of Edexcel and Cambridge (I)GCSE courses. In Year 12 and 13 students experience the internationally renowned and recognised IB Diploma programme, which helps students develop their breadth and depth of knowledge ready for further education.

We are also proud of our wider curriculum. We offer more than 180 After School Activities (ASA), a rich and diverse programme that caters for all student interests and develops their sporting, creative, academic and artistic talents. Our service learning programme is designed to prompt both action and reflection and ensure our students develop the capacity for empathy and a sense of responsibility for others.  Our residential trips provide our students with opportunities to step out of their comfort zone, to appreciate cultural differences and to celebrate diversity.
