Job overview
Are you ready to take on a new challenge?
East Sussex Standards and Learning Effectiveness Service is looking to recruit a Senior Manager to shape the new landscape for school improvement.
As the role of local authorities in their local educational system continues to change and evolve, East Sussex County Council is committed to ensuring an excellent education for all children and young people in the count. We believe that this can best be achieved if every school, academy, early years setting and college is a full participant in local partnerships, enabling them to work together to ensure that no provider and no child or young person is left behind.
The Senior Manager will build capacity for school to school support across the county, working with teaching school alliances and our local education improvement partnerships to lead the effective transition to a school-led system and deliver excellent outcomes across all schools and settings. You will work with leaders in our schools to support an effective network of teaching school alliances, create sustainable local partnerships and ensure the delivery of a comprehensive programme of leadership development at all levels.
Based in the beautiful county of East Sussex this is an exciting opportunity to support the development of a sustainable network through which all schools increasingly lead and take responsibility for improvement in their local area. We are seeking an exceptional candidate who has a strong track record in senior leadership within a school setting and has proven experience in working across schools to deliver improvement. The postholder will play a central role in shaping the new education landscape and helping us secure improvement across all phases of education.
For an informal discussion please call Elizabeth Funge, Head of Education Improvement on 01273.481205.
