Job overview

Senior Operations Manager (2 Positions) Full Time, Permanent

NJC Band L, Point 42 - £51,802 (24/25)

Are you an experienced leader ready to make a real impact? We are seeking two Senior Operations Managers to join our leadership teams at schools within Mersey View Learning Trust: Chesterfield High School and The Rowan Park Schools.
This is an exciting opportunity for two talented individuals with proven leadership experience to shape and oversee the operational backbone of thriving school communities.

What we’re looking for
We’re seeking a confident leader who thrives on building relationships and driving performance. While experience in the education sector is beneficial, it’s not essential. Your ability to transfer skills from other sectors—managing people, complex operations, and resources—is what matters most.

You will bring:
✔ A strong track record of managing teams, projects, and budgets.
✔ Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff at all levels, from teaching and support teams to Trust leaders and governors.
✔ The vision and adaptability to lead in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
As Senior Operations Manager, you will:
✔ Lead and inspire teams across operations, HR, finance, estates, compliance, and more.
✔ Work closely with senior leaders to deliver strategic operational plans that support educational excellence.
✔ Ensure the smooth, efficient, and compliant running of all non-teaching functions in the school.
✔ Play a key role in financial planning and resource management, supporting high standards of probity and value for money.
✔ Oversee data protection compliance
✔Work closely with our Estates team in relation to health and safety and estates management, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.

Why join us?
At Mersey View Learning Trust, we value diversity, teamwork, and innovation. This role offers the chance to develop professionally within a supportive organisation that makes a difference to young people’s lives every day.

If you are highly motivated, resilient, and ready to take on a senior role where your leadership will directly support the success of our schools, we would love to hear from you.
