We are currently seeking a Senior Premises Manager to join our Estates & Facilities team in our Surrey and Sussex Hub. You will be required to carry out a range of duties to ensure our buildings and grounds are maintained to a high standard, which will include oversight and management of compliance, Health & Safety, security, cleanliness, routine maintenance and refurbishment. In addition, you will support a range of projects including the development of new free school sites.

The successful candidate will manage the Estates & Facilities Service Level Agreement in Surrey and Sussex schools taking responsibility for management of the locally based SLA staff team. You will be familiar with current legislation pertaining to compliance, Health & Safety, Construction Design Management, fire safety, legionella and asbestos, as well as advising on matters relating to energy and sustainability.

The right person for this job will have:

•  A genuine commitment to working with children and young people with SEND

•  Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with pupils, students, staff, parents/carers, drivers/escorts, contractors, consultants and members of the public

•  A range of skills in general maintenance and repair work to support our Estates & Facilities team.

•  A full, clean driving license

•  The ability to work with minimum supervision and also work under pressure

•  Ability to manage projects, and plan, analyse and prioritise tasks

•  Proven experience of team management
