Job overview

We are looking for a Senior IT Technician to work across our Eastern Region of schools, which includes de Stafford School, Whyteleafe Primary School, Marden Lodge Primary School, Warlingham Primary School and Hillcroft Primary School.

These five schools are part of our multi-academy trust, GLF Schools. We currently have 32 schools in total across the South East. This role will primarily be based in Caterham but the successful candidate will benefit from the support of our experienced IT team located in Banstead.

You will provide first and second line support in the field, working with a range of systems and users with varying skills and will need to find solutions to issues affecting all aspects of IT within the schools we support.

This is a field-based role comprising of regular scheduled visits, ad hoc and emergency visits as required to our current and future schools- with the main base being de Stafford School in Caterham.

The varied nature of this role requires an intelligent and enthusiastic person who has the ability to think outside the box to solve issues independently, but who can also work effectively with our wider IT and school teams. A friendly and professional manner is vital, as this is a customer-focused role, based in schools.

You must have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role and experience with hardware and software, including installation, configuration and deployment.

This role is for 36 hours a week for a minimum of 43 weeks of the year (term time + 4 weeks); however, we will consider a full time appointment.
