Chilton Bridge School is a newly opened independent special school for pupils aged 6 – 19, situated near Yeovil, Somerset.  We are looking to appoint a Senior Relational Support Lead who as a passion for supporting students who require specialist support to overcome their barriers to learning. 

Our creative, individualised approach to learning, is centred around well-being and skills for independence. From the time our students arrive, we assess their individual interests, passions and desires to build a project based curriculum to meet their needs. In so doing, we ensure they are well prepared to achieve their goals and succeed.

We are looking for an inspirational leader, that can contribute to and establish the ethos and vision of the school.

The Senior Relational Support Lead will be part of the school leadership team and will have oversight of the our relational approach across the school. They will implement and support a blend of proactive strategies to ensure that we meet the needs of our learners.

With significant experience of working with young people with SEMH needs and ASC within a school environment they have an excellent understanding of how to build relationships and support young people to reach their potential.

They will support and develop the staff team using coaching and mentoring approaches, so must have excellent and adaptable communication skills.

We understand the importance of building meaningful relationships with pupils and families to nurture growth and development of relational milestones such as, building trust and sharing enjoyment. Care and making connections are at the heart of our ethos and we work hard to ensure that all staff feel cared for too.
