If you are a dynamic and inspirational French Language Acquisition Teacher with IB Middle Years Programme experience, seeking a new part time adventure for the next academic year, we would like to hear from you!

The successful applicant will be an experienced French Language Acquisition teacher and have a strong understanding of the theoretical framework for comprehensive language skills teaching. He/she will have the capability to deliver a high-quality language programme aligned with the School’s Mission and Vision. We are an accredited MYP school and candidate DP school and expect the successful candidate to embody the IB philosophy. 

What will you do on a day-to-day basis?

The successful candidate will: 

• Be experienced in teaching students French Language Acquisition

• Be experienced in the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme or similar inquiry-based curriculum

• Be familiar with the requirements of DELF examinations. 

• Be responsible for collaborating on curriculum design and development 

• Be able to engage, and differentiate for the needs of, students at all levels 

• Be an innovator who is committed to learning and up to date with current research 

• Be an inspiring, challenging and empowering educational motivator 

• Be visible, approachable, with excellent interpersonal skills and a good sense of humour 

• Be flexible, creative and resilient 

• Collaborate with colleagues to raise the profile of languages within the school 

• Offering Co-Curricular language sessions

• Be familiar with the course requirements for IB Diploma French B 

What will you bring to the table?

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills, experience and qualifications: 

• B.A. Degree in Education or other relevant degree or teaching qualification 

• Relevant international teaching experience 

• Excellent fluency in French and English (verbal and written) 

• The ability to liaise with a team of professionals to coordinate services in support of students 

• Able to demonstrate creativity, compassion and a desire to make a difference in the learning of our children
