Haileybury international School is a co-educational independent international school located near Beijing, China. Opened in 2013, the school provides an education for up to 1100 students, most of whom are currently boarders. The school is part of the wider Haileybury School, an Australian independent school with campuses across the Australia. The Beijing campus is Haileybury’s first overseas campus, and is able to boast of a wide range of modern teaching and recreational facilities. This includes a range of modern classrooms, a fully equipped theatre, a heated indoor swimming pool, and a multi-use sports field. The school’s dormitories are equally modern, and complemented by a range of social areas. Students balance academic study with extra-curricular activities and sport, in order to help foster a strong sense of community around the school. The school offers places to children from Years 1 to 11, with Year 12 being the graduation year. At the Primary and Middle Schools (up to Year 9) Haileybury International School teaches the standard Chinese curriculum, but with a strong focus on English language teaching to support the student pathways to Australian and other universities internationally.
