Dulwich College Seoul

Dulwich College Seoul is a flourishing, high-performing school offering teachers a fantastic opportunity to work in a purpose built and well-resourced school in the heart of one of Asia’s most dynamic cities. In partnership with Dulwich College London and its sister schools in China, Singapore and Myanmar, Dulwich College Seoul upholds the traditions and outstanding educational standards which have become the hallmark of the Dulwich name in the U.K. and Asia.

The College currently has 650 students from 36 different nationalities across 6 continents, with over 250 of those studying in a three-form entry Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) and a two-form entry Key Stage 4 (Years 10-13).

Applications are invited from outstanding practitioners keen to contribute comprehensively towards the College’s wellbeing agenda. This is a new appointment – the first time we have recruited a dedicated PSHE / wellbeing teacher – and an important re-direction of our resources towards delivering specialist guidance to students and support to all teachers. The successful candidate should be able to deliver an additional element within our wellbeing programme, such as the ability to offer pastoral or college counselling, lead a pastoral section of students, deliver specialist training (eg first aid, life-saving) or be a safeguarding lead. A leadership position at Assistant Head level may be available for a suitably experienced candidate.

The school offers an academic curriculum culminating in the IGCSE and the IB Diploma examination courses alongside a busy extra-curricular programme. Successful applicants will be highly resourceful, forward-thinking professionals, able to function successfully in small teams.

At least 4 years teaching experience is required in the U.K. or overseas regardless of nationality. All applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education, or a first degree plus a post-graduate qualification in education (i.e. PGCE, or equivalent).

In return successful candidates will be working in a dynamic, purpose-built environment with small class sizes and motivated students, having access to excellent resources, facilities and colleagues. Teachers receive an attractive salary (at generous tax rates) and a fully competitive overseas benefits package, including flight allowance, accommodation, living allowance, freight allowance, comprehensive health coverage and tuition for up to two children at the school.

To apply for the position, go to and lodge your application on-line by 2nd February 2018.

For further details about Dulwich College Seoul, visit the school’s website at or explore the school’s Facebook page. Interviews will take place by Skype or in London / Korea in January / February. Please note that appointments may be made before the application deadline.

Dulwich College International is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all the students in our care and expects all applicants to share this commitment. We follow safe recruitment practices which are aligned to the recommendations of the International Task Force on Child Protection. We hold ourselves to a high standard of effective recruiting practices with specific attention to child protection. All appointments are subject to an interview, identity checks, criminal record checks, and successful references.
