The King Edward VI Sheldon Heath Academy has an established, broad science provision and Physics, Chemistry and Biology are offered at GCSE and A-Level. All sciences are very popular subjects in the Sixth Form. The science department enjoys excellent resources and laboratory technicians have a key role to play in ensuring the best for all our students.
We are looking for a science laboratory technician to join our well-established team. The successful candidate will be required to:
• Set up experimental apparatus, prepare chemicals and handle equipment for science lessons.
• Work on own initiative and have good organisational skills.
• Work with students in the classroom.
Experience in a laboratory is essential however, suitable science experience from another background such as industry will be considered
