SENIOR SCIENCE TECHNICIAN

(37 hours per week, term time only)
Salary range: Scale 5 point 22-25 £21074- £23111 (full time equivalent per annum)

The successful candidate will run a busy vibrant school science preparation room. The Senior Technician is responsible for managing the Technician support team, ensuring that chemical, physical and biological equipment and resources are maintained and prepared for lessons. The job requires an oversight of Health and Safety for all procedures and equipment and ensuring that records relating to Health and Safety are up to date. The successful candidate will work with the Head of Faculty to manage the faculty budget and is responsible for ordering and purchasing equipment. Teaching undergoes continual development and technical support staff are actively involved in developing, trialing and evaluating new teaching materials and resources with teaching staff.
