SENIOR SCIENCE TECHNICIAN (SUPPORT STAFF, Permanent)

We are recruiting for a Senior Science Technician to join our successful Science Department. The successful applicant will have experience of being a Science Technician with good knowledge of the support and resources required for science lessons. If you are passionate about science and enjoy working in a busy role, then we would love to hear from you.

Hollingworth Academy is an oversubscribed 11-16 comprehensive situated off the M62/M60 in the town of Milnrow, Rochdale.  Our most recent Ofsted Inspection graded Hollingworth as ‘Outstanding’ and since that report academic standards have continued to rise. We have a new building and excellent modern facilities. We have an extensive range of resources designed to develop engaging, exciting and challenging practical activities for pupils across KS3 and 4. The Science Department has an established team of teaching staff who have developed comprehensive planning documents, which allow technical staff to prepare resources in accordance with the teaching and learning needs. 

Hollingworth Academy strives for excellence, engagement, equity and enterprise across all areas of the organisation. The successful candidate will be committed to helping us achieve our aims and will also be keen to contribute to our success in our journey towards world class. 

Hours : 35 hours per week, during term time only

Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 3.30pm (with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break)

Grade : Scale 3/4, SCP 14-21 (Dependent on experience) 

(£17,681 - £20,541 pro rata, actual salary £14,444 - £16,782)

Contract : Permanent
