This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dedicated team who encourage all pupils in the school community to thrive. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing tailored support to our pupils in and outside of the classroom, maximising the potential of every student in order to help shape and build our learning community.

Following our recent Ofsted Inspection where we were awarded Good, we are continuing our vision of providing an outstanding standard of education for all students, including those who require additional support to access the curriculum.

This is an important role within the Science Department, which will see the appointed individual responsible for supporting a large and dedicated team of teachers in providing a variety of practical lessons to ensure lessons are engaging and accessible for all.

Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust safeguards and protects its students and staff by being committed to respond in accordance with South Tyneside Child Protection Procedures. Enhanced DBS checks are mandatory for all school staff.

Completed application forms should be submitted by email to office@stjosephs.uk.net by 12pm on Tuesday 11th April 2023. Emailed applications are required and CV’s will not be accepted. For enquiries regarding this role, please contact the School Business Manager vhenry@stjosephs.uk.net.

Interviews are planned to be held the week beginning 17th April.

Electronic signatures will be accepted but candidates will be required to add a written signature to their application when circumstances allow.

The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory Enhanced DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of pre-employment checks. An online search will be completed for all shortlisted candidates.

Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust is an equal opportunities employer, welcoming applications from all sections of the community. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and we expect staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
