Senior Science Technician sought for a December start, at Surrey's most improved secondary school (DfE Oct. 2018). Salary negotiable depending on experience.

We currently have a vacancy for a positive, dynamic, enthusiastic and well-qualified Senior Science Technician to support the academic staff in the delivery of the Science curriculum whilst ensuring Health & Safety responsibilities are met. Reporting to the Head of Science, you will be responsible for managing a small team of technicians, coordinating the use of, and development of, practical resources and facilities, including the provision of guidance and support in meeting the practical requirements of the science curriculum, including liaising with all areas of the school and outside organisations.

Successful applicants will be expected to provide a full range of technical support services to the Science Team to aid teaching in all science subjects. A scientific background and laboratory experience are essential, as is knowledge of the practical needs of the science curriculum and the ability to prepare materials and resources for teaching laboratories.

The successful candidate for this post will ideally have prior experience as a school or college Science Technician, although this is not essential.
