Permanent 35 hrs per week (negotiable), 39 weeks per annum (this includes all non-pupil days and evenings)

Daily working hours to be negotiated and confirmed between 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Grade F, Point Range 22 - 25, £20,456 - £22,434 per annum
Actual pro rata salary at starting point for 35 hours per week £16,615

The Academy is looking to appoint a suitably experienced, confident and reliable person to support the Science team in the smooth running of the Department

You will be required to provide assistance within the Science Department to help co-ordinate the use and maintenance of practical resources and facilities. To be successful, you must have sufficient knowledge and experience of solution preparation, equipment maintenance, health & safety, cleaning, and stock-keeping. A strong understanding of Biology and Chemistry would be desirable, and a proven track record of good communication and organisational skills is essential.

Ideally, you will have experience of working in a school-based environment. You must have the ability to work professionally under pressure to deadlines and operate flexibly within the changing needs of the school is essential.

This person must be an experienced Lab Technician in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. They will be supporting the practical and technical aspects of the Science curriculum.

The Academy is situated in Torbay and is part of the beautiful English Riviera. It is within easy reach of stunning beaches with golden sands, rolling countryside and Dartmoor. It is also a short drive away via new South Devon link road which brings a host of benefits including easy access to the Historic City of Exeter and its surrounding areas.
