Grade 6, Level 1-4 (£24,299 - £26,800 p.a.) reduced pro rata to £20,864 - £23,011 p.a.

*N.B. the salary shown does not include the Local Government pay offer, increasing all pay points by £1,925 from 1 April 2023 that has been offered to the unions.

Full time (37hrs per week), term time only. Permanent contract to start as soon as available

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and practical Senior Science Technician to provide a support service to our Science Faculty. The successful candidate will need to be well organised and able to multi-task whilst remaining calm under pressure, to ensure a safe and well-equipped environment for our students and staff. You will also be required to provide supervision and direction to another technician in the Department.

Main Purpose of the Job

• Working under the direction of the Head of Science, to provide a support service to the Science Faculty enabling a safe and well-equipped environment for practical work to support the teaching of the subjects to all students.
• organisation and distribution of resources for all key stages in the Science Faculty.
• ordering of resources for the Science Faculty.
