Sunfield Specialist School and Children’s Home is located in the beautiful Clent Hills, West Midland and is part of the Ruskin Mill Trust providing innovative and experiential education, and supports young people (6 – 19 years) with complex learning needs, including autism and PDA.

For over 30 years, Ruskin Mill Trust has provided Specialist Independent Education to children and adults with complex needs including learning difficulties, autistic spectrum conditions and disabilities. Our provisions offer both day and residential placements and applications. Inspired by Aonghus Gordon using the insights of Rudolf Steiner, John Ruskin and William Morris, Ruskin Mill Trust works with hand, head, heart and place to provide students with the tools to transform material and in doing so transform themselves.


Senior Special Education Needs Teacher and Leaders 

Competitive Salary for Outstanding Teacher, SEN allowance plus responsibility allowance.

We are seeking Special Education Teachers and leaders who will be part of the the school’s middle leadership and will take the lead to plan, co-ordinate and quality assure in their given area. This is to ensure that the subjects are consistently well planned throughout the school and quality assured on a regular basis.


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Qualified Teacher status 

• Have experience teaching children and young people with severe learning disabilities 

• Experience of co-ordinating, leading and quality assuring the subject areas of the curriculum

• The ability to coordinate, lead and deliver flexible, person centred programs of study for designated individuals and groups of young people with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition
