Would you like to make a difference to the young people in our school by ensuring our premises are the best that they can be?

We are looking to appoint a Senior Site Officer to provide an effective and responsive, customer focussed in-house maintenance and caretaking service.  You will have the best of both worlds by having fantastic scope to use your initiative, together with the supportive arm of a multi-academy Trust, whereby a helpful and knowledgeable team is at hand to assist you and make you feel valued.

You will have experience of repairs and maintenance, and relevant trades (including carpentry, plumbing, heating, and painting) as well as building works in a similar environment.  Ideally you will have had experience in planning preventative maintenance and cleaning in order to manage a wide range of responsibilities including whole site security, site and grounds repairs and maintenance, and to take an agreed lead in health and safety checks.  Most importantly, you will have the will to go that extra mile to make a difference to the students at our school, the flexibility to be part of a great team and the communication and problem solving skills to resolve situations as they arise. We envisage that we will soon be planning a premises development plan, key to our school’s success, and you can be instrumental in the delivery of this.

This is an exciting time to join us.  We have recently become part of Castle Phoenix Multi Academy Trust which specialises in leadership and was founded in February 2013, on the success of the Caludon Castle Teaching School, and we have a new interim Headteacher in post.

The Trust is committed to invest in and develop all staff and, most importantly, bring about the best possible outcomes for our students who deserve the very best.  Our Trust values are really important to all of us and include Respect to All, From All, Innovation and Collaboration.

We pride ourselves in offering:

• The opportunity to work as part of an experienced, supportive, friendly and hardworking staff team who are united in their drive to achieve the very best outcomes for every student

• A comprehensive induction programme.

• Potential developmental opportunities to take on more responsibilities within the Trust.

• A strong commitment to staff wellbeing and recognition initiatives, through the Trust’s people strategy

• A range of benefits which includes the local government pension scheme, cycle to work scheme, discounted gym membership, free parking and an employee discount scheme.

This opportunity is for a non-residential Senior Site Officer and the hours of work will include the need for additional flexibility to support evening and weekends as required.  You will need a full driving licence and would need to be willing to use your own vehicle (with mileage allowance claimable).

Foxford has a great deal to be proud of and a desire to continuously improve.  If you would like to discuss this post further or arrange a school visit, please contact Ali Wilkins, HR Manager on aliw@foxford.coventry.sch.uk who will put you in contact with the Trusts Estates and Premises Manager.  Visits to the school prior to application are strongly encouraged and will be warmly welcomed.

Completed forms are returnable to HumanResources@caludoncastle.co.uk

Application deadline:  9:00am on Monday 17th February 2020

Interview date:  by Friday 21 February 2020

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).  The Trust is committed to safeguarding, promoting the welfare of children and young people and creating a culture of vigilance and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and vigilance.
