We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and talented Head of Mathematics who will also join our Senior Leadership Team. The successful applicant will be a passionate Mathematics practitioner committed to improving teaching and learning and developing the provision within a committed staff team.
As a Senior teacher you will demonstrate consistently high standards of teaching and management and already have experience of middle leadership in your current school. You will be ready to step up to working as a member of Senior Leadership whilst overseeing the work of a core subject area. You will be confident in leading an aspect of whole-school provision or improvement priority and be able to demonstrate success in a field of school or departmental improvement.
In February 2018 an Ofsted inspection confirmed we were a Good College where pupils consistently make exceptional progress. GCSE results at the College are consistently outstanding, with 50% of the cohort achieving a Strong English Baccalaureate pass. The College’s overall P8 for 2018 will be at least +0.53 in 2018. Mathematics attainment is consistently strong with the proportion of pupils achieving grade 4 or above at GCSE at 88% and grade 5 or above at 62%. There is an upward trend in progress.
