​​​​​We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and compassionate Senior Teaching Assistant to help provide high standards of education and support to our students with educational, physical, medical and complex needs.

Under the direction of a Teacher, take responsibility for delegated learning activities. This involves a contribution to the planning & preparation of lessons; delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or whole classes without the presence of the teacher and monitoring pupils by assessing, recording and reporting on their achievements, progress and development

Main Duties include:

  • To take a lead role in coordinating the organisation and management of a safe and purposeful learning environment. Guide the work of the class team, to support teaching and learning in the classroom.
  • To assume sole supervision of groups of students within the class, which may include delivering learning activities, leading class assemblies and covering for the whole class in the absence of the teacher.
  • Under the direction of the teacher, assist in the development and implementation of ILPs (
  • Assist in maintaining and analysing records of student’s progress. Monitor and evaluate student’s responses to learning tasks and participation.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students, supporting them as they learn, and modifying teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Work with the teacher to plan the week’s schedule by reviewing the students’ weekly planners.
  • Leading and/or supporting students learning in the wider curriculum including but not limited to: outings, swimming, etc.
