Salary: Scale point NJC 1 £17,482 pro rata + LW £1,978 pro rata 

Hours: Term time only, 31.15 hours per week, 8.45am – 3.30pm.

Closing Date: Open until position filled.

Interview Date: Interviews will take place on an ‘as and when basis’ as applications are received.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant to support the class teacher, run intervention groups, support learning in and out of the classroom and promote and support the inclusion of all pupils. You will be instrumental in our mission to provide every student, regardless of their background, a great education and real choices in life.

The successful candidate will possess:

• Maths and English GCSE or equivalent at grade C or above

• Competent IT skills

• A hard working and flexible attitude.

• A passion for working with children.

• The ability to carry out designated tasks in an accurate and timely manner.

• The ability to work as part of a team.

• The ability to be creative and use initiative to engage children.

• The ability to work under pressure, with enthusiasm, motivation and commitment.

• Strong listening skills and the ability to prioritise, manage time effectively and remain calm under pressure.

• Strong verbal and communication skills appropriate to the need to communicate effectively with a wide range of pupils, colleagues and parents.
