Exciting new opportunities to make a difference to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities across the Bradford District.

As part of the Specialist Teaching and Support Services which provides specialist teaching and support services to children and young people with Special Educational Needs we are looking to appoint an experienced and knowledgeable education senior leader to lead and manage a team of specialist  teachers and practitioners who teach and support children and young people 0-25 who have Special Educational Needs and work directly in schools with teachers and  SENCo’S to advise, guide and provide training. As part of our ambition to improve outcomes and opportunities for our children and young people with SEND this team has recently been restructured and has expanded so we can deliver a high quality and first rate service valued by our service users.

The candidate will be a qualified teacher and already have extensive SEND knowledge and experience across the areas of need, of quality first teaching and senior leadership experience in education.

he Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile which is shown in this advert outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.

NB. The successful candidate will be expected to travel to all the LA led Resourced Provisions and therefore needs a full driving licence
