Sessional Assessor - Hair, Derby

Derby College is seeking to recruit an experienced Assessor in Hairdressing to join its Hair and Beauty Academy at The Roundhouse College Campus on Pride Park, on a sessional, hourly-paid basis.

You will have recent relevant experience of assessing L2 and L3 Hair qualifications and will be passionate about helping students gain the skills and knowledge needed to enter the hair profession.  Experience of assessing beauty qualifications would be a distinct advantage but is not essential.

You will perform the role of Assessor in accordance with awarding body guidelines and occupational assessment strategy and will hold an A1 award (or equivalent assessor award) as well as a L3 Hair qualification and a level 2 or equivalent in both English and Maths.  Excellent administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team are also essential in this role.

You will be a passionate and highly motivated professional who can consistently deliver inspirational learning and assessment as well as drive high standards and develop students' employability and practical skills.
