Job overview

We are recruiting for a well-motivated CSA in Animal Care with a wide knowledge of the Animal Care industry.  We are looking for someone to cover holidays, absences, and weekends. Hours will vary and are not fixed. Duties include amongst others; customer service, supervising work experience students, providing daily husbandry care for a range of animals and general maintenance of the Animal Unit.

Whilst we have guided working hours, as in all animal related jobs, the day finishes when all the duties are done, and not when the finishing time comes around, therefore a willingness to work flexibly is required. You should be organised and have excellent interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team.

Your primary focus will be the care and husbandry of the animals on the unit, as well as supervising students working on the unit, ensuring that health and safety procedures are always followed and that the welfare needs of the animals are always met.
