We are now looking to appoint a Sessional Lecturer to be responsible for teaching a group or groups of full or part-time students on specific courses or parts of courses.

As Sessional Lecturer, you will complete administrative work connected with teaching efficiently and effectively, including the preparation of classwork, marking of coursework, assessment of students, setting and marking relevant examination papers, progress reports, regular completion of registers and other termly or annual statistics as and when required. Responsible for the proper conduct of the class, you will adopt a consistent approach in dealing with student discipline and participate in the management and supervision of student visit programmes.

With a degree or professional qualification in an area relevant to the work in the school, the successful candidate will have excellent teaching skills and substantial teaching experience. Hardworking and flexible, you should have good planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills and be capable of working well under pressure to agreed deadlines.

With energy, enthusiasm and passion for Health & Social Care, you will be able to support, motivate and empathise with learners and work effectively as an individual and a team member in order to achieve targets. Non-qualified candidates must achieve a teaching qualification within five years.

The number of hours which, and the times when, you will be required to work may vary from week to week and from month to month. The College cannot guarantee that you will be provided with work for a certain minimum (or maximum) number of hours per week, per month.
