Sessional Teacher – ESOL [4 roles various hours available]
£21.80 per hour
We are looking for Sessional Teachers with a flexible approach to join our Adult ESOL team to teach in the local community at various venues, mostly in the mornings.
You will be a dedicated and motivated professional ready to provide an innovative, dynamic and responsive delivery of ESOL to individuals, small groups and classes. You will be expected to teach multi-level groups and respond to community needs.
You will have experience in delivering Skills for Life ESOL to adults in a community setting. You will have experience of delivering a range of levels from Pre-Entry to Level Two. You will be responsible for planning schemes of work and lessons, setting and marking assignments, keeping learners’ individual learning plans up to date and entering student data on our administrative system. Excellent administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team are also essential in this role.

Derby College is a large general further education college with four sites in or near the city of Derby. It supports around 26,000 learners, who choose from more than 1,000 full-time and part-time apprenticeship, A-level, BTEC and NVQ courses.
Derby College was established as a single institution in 2002 by merging three further education colleges: Mackworth Tertiary College, Wilmorton Tertiary College and Broomfield Agricultural College. A merger between South East Derbyshire College and Derby College was approved in 2010. Heavy investment has been made by the college in its teaching and learning facilities, from the fully equipped teaching kitchens at the Roundhouse campus to the high-tech science labs at the Joseph Wright Centre and the Equestrian Centre at the Broomfield Hall campus.
