Ealing Adult Education Service (EALS), judged by Ofsted Inspection as Good offers a large and diverse programme of qualification courses and employer-based training as well as extensive community based provision.

We have a diverse, enthusiastic student community and are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated tutors to join our team. You should have or be working towards a recognised teaching qualification and must hold relevant professional qualifications in your subject specialism. Good written and verbal communication and the ability to communicate with a variety of people are essential along with good organisational skills.

As a sessional tutor you will be expected to complete the associated administration tasks. Tutors work closely with Learning Outreach Co-ordinators and Programme Managers in the designing, planning and delivering of courses which stretch and challenge our learners as well as preparing a variety of learning materials, providing guidance to learners on progression options. You will also be expected to attend team meetings and training events at least once a term during an academic year.

Skills in teamwork, motivating and inspiring students, developing a learner focussed curriculum and the ability to continually improve the learning experience will be essential.

The Service is committed to safeguarding, ensuring the safety and welfare of adults. Employment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure check (DBS) from the Disclosure and Barring Service and registration with the Education Workforce Council.

This role is subject to Ealing’s enhanced vetting process.
