Job overview

Morley College London at the Chelsea Centre for the Creative Industries is looking to recruit inspirational, committed and innovative variable hours tutors in maths and IT to join its community.

Established in 1889, and with our roots stretching back even further, Morley College London is one of the country's oldest and largest specialist providers of adult education. The Chelsea Centre for the Creative Industries (CCCI) specialises in creative learning including its Essential Skills provision and provides both accredited and unaccredited short courses.

We are seeking an exceptional tutor with a successful track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning to teach a range of maths courses including Entry Level, Functional Skills and GCSE across both our adult and 16 – 18 provision, including some evening and Saturday delivery.

The successful applicant will have experience in delivering innovative and creative teaching and learning in class and online and possess an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of curriculum delivery. They will also have the ability to use inspiring teaching methods and produce engaging teaching materials. Experience with Pearson Functional Skills, Essential Digital Skills and GCSE qualifications would be an advantage, although not strictly necessary.

We welcome new and innovative voices, thrilled by the experience of being a part of the transformative power of learning.  You may have recently completed your teacher training and are looking for your first role or you may be keen to begin a new adventure.

You will join an academic community of specialists and will have a voice in shaping the centre’s future as we continue to grow a contemporary curriculum for a diverse range of young people and adult learners at this centre, part of Morley College London.

Morley College London aims to have a workforce that is as reflective of the diverse population that it serves. The College particularly encourages applications from women, ethnic minorities and disabled people who are currently under-represented within our academic team.
