Al Khor International School is a 3 to 18, co-educational and non-selective international school. Owned by Qatargas, the world’s largest producer of liquefied natural gas, AKIS caters primarily for the children of the company’s employees. We are one of the largest international schools in the Middle East with more than 4,000 students across our, British Curriculum and CBSE Curriculum schools. The school has exceptional facilities and is located in Al Khor Community, 40 minutes north of Qatar’s capital city Doha.
The opportunity:
The Sharepoint and Web developer and Senior IT Officer will be responsible for improving the school’s learning and teaching through best practice use of technology to enhance learning, teaching, and other school functions. The role will also provide expertise to the school in the development and implementation of learning technologies, management of the school’s Virtual Learning Environment, school portals/website, and maintain awareness of changes in learning technologies.
Skills and qualities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / or any relevant field.
- Good working knowledge of HTML, PHP, Javascript, Adobe CC, and other relevant programming languages, development tools, and learning management environments.
- 3-5 years experience in designing online learning materials, web design, or programming.
- Strong knowledge and experience working with Microsoft 365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, Power Platform, and SharePoint.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Excellent Team-player.

About Al Khor International School
Owned by QatarEnergy LNG– one of the largest natural gas-producing companies in the world, AKIS was established to cater primarily for the children of its employees. The school is located in Al Khor Community, approximately 40Km north of Doha.
A co-educational and non-selective school, AKIS offers the following provision to students from Kindergarten through to Post 16 (3-18 years of age):

- Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) of India
