Job overview

A unique post for our unique school!

Seva School is an all through (reception class to year 11) Sikh faith school in Coventry. We are seeking a qualified teacher who can deliver:

  • Seva Studies across KS3 and KS4 (discrete teaching of the Sikh faith to complement regular RE lessons)
  • Indian classical music lessons and enrichment

Seva School is a growing school, with exciting rebuild and renovation plans afoot. However, even when at full capacity (1020 students from reception to year 11), we will retain our "family feel", with each student known and cared for.

Our all through school has endless potential in terms of transition, peer mentoring, cross phase planning and mixed age enrichment. Covid has limited much of this in recent years, but we're determined to get this back in place as soon as possible.

As a Sikh faith school, the spiritual development of our students is as important to us as their academic excellence - we often raise funds for charity, we teach other faith schools about Sikhism (and, in turn, learn about their religion too) and we have a Diwan Hall where we hold special religious events. You do not have to be Sikh to work at Seva, in fact, we welcome colleagues of all faiths and none, you do, however, have to resonate with our values and ethos.

We reserve the right to appoint earlier than the closing date if the right candidate applies
