Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 x SEND navigators to join the SILC Cluster team on a temporary 12-month contract, in the first instance.
C3 grade £23,900, 37 hours per week; term time only plus 5 days.
The role of the SEND navigator is to offer support and signposting to families where a child / young person has recently received a Neuro diverse diagnosis and does not have an Education Health Care Plan.
The post will require a level of independence and knowledge of the SEND pathways and services within Leeds. To support and enable families to access the right support at the right time working city wide with children, young people, families and professionals. It would be of benefit to be a car user.
We are looking for a motivated individual with experience of working with children and families who can demonstrate a commitment to improving outcomes for children and families.
The successful candidate will hot desk along with other members of the SILC Cluster team at their office in the East of the city.
The post will involve some work in the home and in other venues such as schools. The post will require some lone working and unsociable hours.
