Job overview

Overview: This is an exciting opportunity for a high-quality administrator with a keen eye for detail to provide a comprehensive reception and administrative service at our Orchard House provision for students whose mental health needs prevent them from accessing their mainstream school. We welcome applicants who have knowledge and/or lived experience of, diversity, equity and inclusion.

About us: Aspire is an Alternative Provision spread over multiple sites in Buckinghamshire. Aspire provides 'outstanding' alternative educational provision and support for secondary age students who, for a variety of reasons, are unable to attend mainstream school. The Aspire Medical Provision supports those children and young people who are too unwell to attend their mainstream school. These students are referred by CAMHS or other medical professionals, with the support of their mainstream schools and/or the Local Authority. Aspire Medical Provision is comprised of two Home Tuition Teams, a site provision called Orchard House and the Stoke Mandeville Hospital Teaching Service, all of which deliver education across Buckinghamshire. Our focus is to support young people to reach their potential and enable them to re-engage with, and maintain, their learning and ideally to reintegrate back into their mainstream school.

About the role: The Site Administrator will provide an efficient, comprehensive and confidential support to the Orchard House team to support the aims and ethos of Aspire. You will need to work sensitively and positively with staff, parents/carers, students and key stakeholders and carry out such other associated duties as are reasonably assigned by the Orchard House Lead.

About you: Our ideal candidate might not have experience in education but will possess excellent administrative, organisational and interpersonal skills. You must demonstrate the ability to work accurately with attention to detail, maintain confidentiality and keep a calm approach. Experience of working in a school is desirable, but not essential.

We are looking for extraordinary people. We look forward to meeting you!

For further information, including an informal conversation about the role, please contact hr@aspireap.org.uk.

To apply for this job please complete the application form and send it to hr@aspireap.org.uk

Closing Date: Please apply as soon as possible. We reserve the right to interview and appoint upon receipt of application.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and education of our students and expect all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check and references will be required along with the completion of a Health Questionnaire.
