Miscellaneous can include: 

• Carrying out day to day tasks as reasonably instructed by the SBM. 

• Being responsible for managing  a site budget and ensuring best value for money

• Maintaining confidentially when necessary. 

• Reporting any incidents/accidents. 

• Making sure that use and storage of chemicals is in accordance with COSHH. 

• Operating in accordance with school policy and in particular to ensure Health & Safety requirements are met. 


Whole-school responsibilities 

• Participate in the performance management process agreed in school. 

• To play a full and active part in the life of the school.

The Chiltern School is an Area Special School in Central Bedfordshire. Our school offers all through education from 3-19 years. Our experienced staff provide stimulating learning opportunities addressing the needs of pupils with moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties. Many of our pupils have associated needs which include communication and social interaction, physical, sensory and medical. We were rated a Good school by OFSTED in October 2017, join us as we embark on our journey to become an Outstanding Centre of Excellence for SEND.

Our vision is to develop children who are happy, confident, inquisitive and independent.

Our curriculum is highly personalised, pupils follow different pathways to meet their changing needs, with a strong emphasis on celebrating the small steps. We have a caring yet purposeful environment where high expectations, good manners and positive relationships are nurtured.

Staff work together, expertly and enthusiastically, we provide high quality opportunities for continuous professional development, promote action research and use evidence based practice to enrich our own learning.
