Cumbria Education Trust is a highly successful and rapidly expanding not-for-profit charitable organisation. We are the largest school-based MAT in Cumbria with eleven schools currently in the family; eight primary and three secondary schools (including West Coast Sixth Form).  Our vision is to provide the best education possible within Cumbria.

• We are seeking to appoint a Site Assistant for our Carlisle Primary Schools Cluster, based at Yewdale Primary School.   You will be supporting the Primaries Site Manager in the effective maintenance, security and safe operation of school premises. Although the role will be based out of Yewdale Primary School you will provide support across the Carlisle school cluster, in particular Yewdale and Caldew Lea Schools. You will be required to work at other schools within the Trust as required. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is necessary to fulfil this role. 

We would like to appoint someone who:

• Has a full Driving licence 

• Has medium level proven practical handyman-type skills and/or experience 

• The ability to relate to and communicate with a wide range of people (students, staff, external contractors, external customers etc) with a calm and courteous manner

• Is able to work to tight timescales and work under pressure. 

• Has a City & Guilds level qualification in related skill area(s) e.g. electrical, joinery (etc.)
