We are looking to appoint a Site Assistant to work as part of our Estates Team maintaining the college buildings, grounds and security of the site. 

You will have a variety of important responsibilities, which will include:

  • Assisting with site security
  • Taking responsibility for paper re-cycling
  • On a rota basis, being available for out of hours emergency calls
  • Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance
  • Keeping the site tidy and litter free
  • Preparing and arranging rooms, moving furniture and equipment

You will need previous experience and relevant skills to carry out general maintenance work and the ability to cope with the physical requirements of the role, therefore the ability and confidence to use a variety of basic DIY tools and equipment is essential.

Further relevant training and first aid training can be provided if required. If you are keen to develop your skills and experience and are highly reliable with a customer focussed and flexible approach and can work well alone or in a team, we would be delighted to hear from you.

The working hours are to be agreed but will be either Monday and Tuesday 7.00am-3.00pm or 8.00am-4.00pm.
