Job overview

We are now looking for a Site Controller to join Maiden Erlegh Trust. You will be required to work across our special and alternative provisions in Reading. You will need to travel across sites with access to your own transport and hold a full UK driving licence.

Hamilton School has recently joined the Maiden Erlegh Trust family of schools, whose motto is “schools for the community, schools as a community”. Hamilton School is an SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Special School in Reading catering for up to 64 students, aged 11 – 16 with Education, Health Care Plans (EHCP). Our mission is to recognise each and every one of our students as individuals, and to nurture their potential, developing the whole child. This means that you would have to be a resilient character who is able to remain positive when dealing with challenging behaviour.

One of the privileges of joining our school is joining our team of optimistic, talented and supportive colleagues. The aim for every school in the Trust, whilst espousing their values and ethos, and having a core of common policies and procedures, will serve its own community’s needs in a bespoke way and also create a feeling of community within its own school. In that way all the potential and talents of every child and every member of staff will be nurtured.

Being part of the Maiden Erlegh Trust also offers a range of career opportunities in its vibrant and successful schools. We are very happy to discuss flexible working arrangements including part time working and job-sharing.

Visits to our schools are warmly welcomed so that you can meet us and see our facilities and how we work. Please email recruitment@maidenerleghschool.co.uk with your interest to visit.

Closing date: 9am, Monday 17 February 2020.

Maiden Erlegh Trust is an Ethical Leadership Pathfinder organisation and we are committed to safeguarding, equality and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We are also committed to having the highest expectations of pupil/students and staff, and supporting everyone to reach their full potential. All employees of the school and Trust are expected to share these commitments. All posts require satisfactory employment checks and references and a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. All Leadership roles will require a Section 128 check.
