This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding site team. As a result of the positive growth of the school, we are looking for a professional and self-motivated Site Controller to help ensure the provision of

an efficient and effective, well-maintained site and a safe, pleasant environment for staff, students and visitors.

This is a varied role, which will cover site security, maintenance and the upkeep of facilities. You will also be expected to adhere to good health and safety practices and conduct regular health and safety checks throughout the working week.

This is a full-time position, the successful applicant will ideally have substantial experience of premises caretaking, preferably in an educational context. General maintenance skills, knowledge of health and safety requirements and of security and emergency procedures will also be required.

If you have excellent interpersonal skills, can manage and prioritise your time effectively and are willing to learn new skills, we would be delighted to hear from you.

About Altwood Church of England School

Altwood Church of England School is a mixed 11-18 secondary school and the only Church of England secondary school in Maidenhead, Berkshire.  Altwood School converted to academy status in August 2012. The pupil roll is around 780, including some 140 students who attend the school’s sixth form.

In 1836, the school site was home to Boyn Hill Church of England Senior Girls School and St Lukes Church of England Secondary Boys School but in 1907 the two schools merged to produce a coeducational school called Altwood Church of England Secondary School. Altwood School became a comprehensive school in 1975 and a Business and Enterprise College specialist school in 2007.

Altwood Church of England School welcomes pupils of all faiths and no faith, but expects its Christian ethos to be respected.
