Job overview

We are looking to recruit a full time Site Maintenance Officer to join our team to assist in the smooth running of the Academy, by carrying out a range of caretaking and maintenance duties.  Responsibilities will include caretaking duties, maintenance work (including the grounds), some general and emergency cleaning, emergency repairs, porterage and liaising with contractors and school users.  The role also includes the security and supervision of the site and related equipment,  in order to ensure that the school provides a clean, safe and secure environment for its staff, students and visitors. 

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate their motivation and commitment, enjoy working as part of a team and have a flexible approach to the changing demands of a busy school. A good understanding of Health and Safety policies and procedures is a must, alongside being able to ensure that all duties are carried out with due diligence to health and safety procedures. A trade skill and knowledge of cleaning operations would be an advantage.  Supervisory experience would also be very useful.

This role is full time, full year and Grade 7.
