Job overview

Trinity Academy is a highly oversubscribed free school that opened in 2019. We are a values based community that focuses on the learning of all students and staff, that cares deeply for our young people and each other and that is committed to co-curricular enrichment.

We are currently housed in temporary accommodation as we wait for our new £25 million building to be completed. This is an exciting opportunity to be the first site manager of a state of the art facility and help us ensure our mission to be a world class school is achieved.

Project management skills will be essential as we firstly increase our temporary accommodation at the very start of the academic year then move into the new building. You will also need to be a strong communicator and relationship builder to and with all stakeholders.

We are committed to your professional development as both leader and manager. You will be an integral part of the school team ensuring the security and general appearance of the school buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards and legal frameworks. You will be based on school site supervising a small team of caretaking staff, holding regular team meetings and undertaking relevant and appropriate training. You will plan and prioritise your own workload and be able to provide adequate cover for holiday, out of school hours and emergency call out where required.

Applications are welcome from outstanding individuals with a proven track record, who want to join an outstanding team where they can make a difference.

If you would like to find out more about the school including FAQs, please visit the website at: www.trinityacademybristol.org.

For further details about the role please see the attached job description, person specification and new building information.

Please note that we will only consider applications through TES and will not consider CVs so please ensure that your supporting statement on the application meets the requirements of the person specification. We encourage you to be succinct and to restrict your supporting statement to no more than four pages in length.

Closing date: Thursday 28th February 2019

Interview: proposed for Friday 8th March 2019 (tbc)

Cathedral Schools Trust recognises the strength in diversity. Our schools have a wide range of cultural, socio economic and religious influences and we use this to ensure that we broaden our understanding of each other and the world.  We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, but particularly welcome those from BAME backgrounds, as we recognise that our staff team does not currently reflect the diversity of our student body.

As part of our commitment to equal opportunities, we ask that all applications are made using our application form and are accompanied by an equal opportunities form. The equal opportunities form is anonymous and is not shared with the shortlisting panel.
