A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an outstanding Site Manager to join the team at the Nottingham Academy.

Duties will include:

  • ensuring that the environment (internal and external) of all buildings, are safe, well maintained and meet Health and Safety requirements;
  • premises management;
  • maintenance including the janitorial and cleaning provision;
  • liaising with contractors;
  • ensuring the security of the buildings.

Previous experience of buildings and asset management is a must, along with experience of supervising and motivating staff and managing work programmes. You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.

You will have a flexible approach to working hours, an interest in maintenance and a passion for high standards.

The Nottingham Academy is a multi-site academy with new and refurbished buildings, offering pupils and staff an outstanding learning environment. This role would involve managing the Greenwood Road site which encorporates a Primary provision (3-8), Secondary provision (13-16) and 6th form provision. Each site is led by a Head of School in conjunction with the Lead Principal, Ged Rae. The most recent Ofsted in November 2015 judged the academy as continuing to be ‘Good’ and commented that despite its increasing size, it feels calm and orderly and has an atmosphere focused on learning.

 Nottingham Academy is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school situated in Sneinton Boulevard, Nottingham. The academy has a ‘schools within a school’ model and has two other sites: Greenwood Road and Ransom Road, together offering 3,780 places for students between the ages of 3-19.

Nottingham Academy  opened in 2009. The school belongs to Greenwood Academies Trust along with 33 other academies across the UK.
