Hours: 35 hours per week, 7am -3pm, Monday - Friday. (Extra hours /flexibility / weekend working will be required at times)         

Salary: Scale point NJC 7 - 11 (currently £20,092 - £21,748 + LW £1,978

The Post:   

We require a site supervisor/ senior caretaker to join and manage our excellent Facilities Team. The post involves opening/locking of the whole school site, maintaining the school grounds and the interior of the building and ensuring that the school is cleaned to a high standard and is health and safety and Covid-19 compliant. The caretaker is responsible for taking charge of and distributing deliveries, inspecting and maintaining logs of playground equipment, fire alarms and security systems as well as carrying out general maintenance and decorating as and when required. Previous experience of working in a similar role is desirable but not essential.

The Person: 

• The applicant must possess basic handyman skills (Carpentry, plumbing, painting, pond care, plant pruning).

• The applicant must have a working knowledge of health & safety law. 

• Must be able to work as part of a team, be flexible, hard working  and have a strong commitment to the safety and security of the school and the whole school community. 

• The applicant must be flexible and willing to adapt his/her working hours as there will be a requirement to work longer hours at times, sometimes at short notice.
