Applications are invited for the post of Site Support Officer (SSO) at The Royal Masonic School for Girls (RMS). RMS is an independent, day and boarding school with a supportive and nurturing ethos. The School provides an exceptionally favourable working environment, with keen students and stunning surroundings.

We are looking for a motivated candidate who is experienced in customer facing roles to work primarily at the entrance to the School. The SSO will be required to ensure that pupils, staff and visitors wishing to access the school during the evening are welcomed, whilst ensuring that the school site is safe and secure. This is a role which is predominantly based outdoors. You will be working on your own initiative as well as part of the existing Security team from 8.30am to 5.00pm on Saturdays. This can be a term time only contract i.e. working 35 weeks per year with 5 weeks paid holiday OR a 52 week role with 6 weeks’ paid holiday to be taken during school holidays.

The Royal Masonic School for Girls is an independent school located on a 316-acre site in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. Providing places to both boarding and day pupils, the school is an all-through institution educating pupils aged 2-18. 

Founded in 1789, the school was originally intended for use by the children of Freemasons. It is now non-denominational and has no restrictions on attendance. As an academically selective institution, the school require potential applicants to undergo formal or informal assessment before a place is offered.
