Do you have administration experience within a school environment? Support Harris Academy Chobham in the smooth running of our administration office and wider academy. We are looking for a Admin Officer to work within our Admin Office, undertaking Reception and other Administrative duties.

We place high emphasis on staff wellbeing at Chobham. This helps colleagues to be happier and more effective in their work. Staff are regularly consulted about their wellbeing and the outcomes of these consultations have a direct and rapid impact upon the Academy's approach to supporting staff wellbeing.

Our staff are regularly consulted on the wellbeing services the school provides and we always try to respond to staff suggestions. Main Areas of Responsibility

The responsibilities of the Admin Officer are to deal will Sixth form administrative issues. The post holder will also be called upon to deal directly with students over matters such as their attendance.

  • To be responsible for the calm and purposeful entrance and exit of students into/out of the Academy.
  • To coordinate all parent/carer correspondence.
  • To ensure that Bromcom Sixth Form data is up-to-date and accurate.
  • To ensure all student timetable information is up to date and accurate.
  • Support the Sixth Form team with filing and organisation of paper-based documentation.
  • To coordinate Sixth Form enrolment data including the collection and entry of all predicted grades; GCSE data and request of transfer of files from previous secondary school.
  • To enter all essential information data collected onto Bromcom for new starters into the Sixth Form.
  • To support the attendance team with any relevant attendance administration tasks
  • To answer calls regarding student absence and record as appropriate
  • To maintain Bursary administration

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of working as part of a successful team
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Secure knowledge of Microsoft software packages
  • Highly ICT literate, ability to learn new systems quickly and with confidence
  • Experience of carrying out a range of administrative tasks successful
  • Knowledge of GDPR working and regulations.

Chobham Academy opened in September 2013 as part of the Harris Federation. Our 3-18 academy is a world class educational legacy of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Situated within the East Village complex, the academy serves the community newly established in 2,800 new homes, along with existing communities in Newham and Waltham Forest.
