This is an excellent opportunity for a bright, energetic and innovative individual to take on the new role of Sixth Form Manager. This is a role of responsibility with an opportunity to shape provision, build the skills and aspirations of young people whilst also looking to stretch and challenge yourself!

Our evolving Sixth Form is an integral part of our school community. We are determined to improve outcomes for all our young people. So, if you have a passion for working with young people, and a commitment to ensure that students are ready for their next steps in education, employment or further training, we would like to hear from you.

The successful applicant will be a highly committed, motivated and passionate non-teaching member of staff, who can lead by example. We want you to believe in a strong work ethos that you can share with our young people, and to engage professionally with them to show them how they can shape their own futures.

You would be part of the Sixth Form Team, working with Head of Sixth Form and SLT to ensure the best use of resources, time and facilities to ensure students are motivated to fulfil and exceed their potential. Our staff are warm and welcoming, and we have great sixth form facilities including study spaces and a small refectory. There are lots of opportunities within this role, and across the wider school, to develop your professional profile and experiences.

It is an exciting time to join Caterham High School. We have a new Headteacher and a renewed energy as we strive for excellence in all that we do. There are opportunities to engage fully in the life of the school and bring your expertise and experiences to make a difference to this wonderful community of children, parents and carers, staff and governors.

Caterham High School is a community school at the heart of the local neighbourhood. We provide a haven in which our children feel safe, valued and happy. Our school serves a richly diverse area of East London, with many ethnic groups and languages represented. Each child is important and we do our utmost to ensure that each student is given every opportunity to learn and succeed. Our students are well behaved, polite and friendly. We enjoy excellent relationships between students and staff.

Caterham High School is a friendly, welcoming and dynamic environment for staff, with good facilities. There is strong and valued CPD, and we are active participants of the Seven Kings Teaching School Alliance. Staff have free access to our gym and other sports facilities, including the swimming pool and free parking.

We warmly welcome an informal visit or a conversation prior to application. You can also visit the website to view information videos about Caterham High.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Offer of a position is subject to receiving satisfactory references and an Enhanced DBS Clearance. If you have not received a response within 2 weeks of the closing date you should assume you have not been shortlisted. References will be taken up for shortlisted candidates prior to interview unless you indicate on your application form that you do not wish your current employer to be approached prior to interview.

For more information and an application pack please see our website or contact Rebecca Bergin, (HR) on 0208 551 4321 or email hrteam@ecaterham.net. Visits are welcomed.

Completed application forms should be returned or e-mailed to hrteam@ecaterham.net by 10am on Monday 17 June 2019. Interviews will be held from Wednesday 19 June 2019.
