We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to work with our Director/Head of Sixth Form/KS5 Safeguarding Lead. This role plays a crucial part in our inclusive school, to provide personalised support and intervention to some of our most vulnerable Sixth Form students.
The role will include implementing effective intervention strategies, mentoring and a proactive role in liaising with parents/carers, social workers and other relevant key professionals to promote progress academically, emotionally and socially.
In 2019 Ofsted judged our Sixth Form to be Outstanding in every respect. From September we anticipate a roll of circa 300 students and will be offering 26 A level subjects and 6 BTEC level 3 courses, with A level student progress scores placing the Sixth Form in the top 10% nationally, for value added (2019).

We promote workload reduction strategies, Diversity, Inclusion and Equality, staff autonomy and Support Staff Council (to ensure our support staff’s needs are heard and met).
We offer a broad Wellbeing Program, which includes:
- Annual 'Nike Day': a whole day of pampering with yoga, martial arts, art therapy, stress reduction, meditation workshops and pastoral CPD at Nike HQ
- Reflective Practice: teachers are the only profession that deals with trauma without supervision - but not at Chestnut Grove! We provide fortnightly RP sessions in which teachers can reflect and collectively problem-solve in order to develop coping strategies and improve their practice.
- Weekly yoga sessions
- Weekly staff fitness & dance session.
- Regular staff football, badminton and other sports staff elect to do
In 2019 we were awarded the Platinum Quality Mark for Professional Development and we also received the Healthy Workplace Achievement award from the Mayor of London.
