Sixth Form Study Centre Supervisor/PSA
Required for June 2018 or sooner
Fixed term contract for 1 year in the first instance
36 Hours per week - term time plus inset days + 1 week outside of term time
Salary – Scale 5, spinal point 22 – 25 (£21,074 – £23,111 pro rata)
plus London Weighting (£1,885 pro rata) circa (£20,607 - £22,435 inclusive LW)

We are looking for an inspirational and motivated person to take up this position in our highly successful Sixth Form. You will be responsible for working with the 6th Form Directors of Student Development and Sixth Form Administrative Assistant in developing and supervising a purposeful study environment and culture for learning in the Sixth Form Study Centre and in supporting Sixth Form students with their study and revision techniques. You will also be expected to work with groups of students and guide staff and parents in how to foster successful study skills, organisational skills, independent learning skills and information literacy essential for studies at KS5.
You should be a team player with excellent communication skills, enthusiastic and optimistic in your approach to students and have an ability to motivate students aged 16-19. You should also have a well-developed understanding of the factors that support learning at KS5 in the classroom as well as independently and have experience of working with students in this age group.
Excellent organisational skills and a flexible working attitude is essential for this role.
Excellent communication, time-management skills and the ability to work under pressure are also essential for the role.

The school is situated within sight of the iconic Wembley Stadium, and provides access to all that Wembley has to offer. The school benefits from fantastic links both through public transport and by car. It is a short 10 minute walk from Wembley Park and Preston Road Underground Stations and a 10 minute bus journey from North Wembley Station.
