Job overview

Vision for Education currently require a teaching assistant capable of working in Early Years within a Primary School in Newcastle. The relevant teaching assistant must be comfortable working in a Nursery class, 1-1 with two pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs. The role itself is working every afternoon with the view of this going up until the end of the academic year.

The Primary School require that the teaching assistant should have a relevant qualification to work in an early years setting as well as at least 6 months experience. The school have made it known that ideally the successful candidate would have training in Makaton.

The school would require that the candidate is able to work independently, build rapport with the class teachers and children, as well as show involvement in the school’s own ethos.
