Social Language Technician Required for January
We are seeking to appoint a Social Language Technician to work on a one to one basis with a Foundation aged pupil from January 2018.
This is a new, multidisciplinary role within a mainstream school and the candidate will be trained to deliver targets across three different disciplines.
1. ABA/VBA (applied behaviour analysis & Verbal behaviour analysis)
2. Occupational therapy
3. Speech and Language therapy
Targets and training will be given on site by qualified professions, and the candidate must be highly motivated to train and learn on a constant, on going supervised basis.
The ideal candidate will have training and/or experience with autism and working with non-verbal or emerging verbal learners with a diagnosis of ASC.
Experience with BSL/Makaton or SSE sign language is preferred, or the candidate must be willing to learn.
Experience of working with young children is essential. The candidate should have very good play skills.
